The Shremaya Foundation promotes literature, art, music and dance. These arts reflect society and its culture. Society is the source of inspiration and creativity. The Shremaya Foundation proposes to inspire and build stronger communities, uniting as one people through collectively appreciating cultural arts of all nations. We use conversation and expression as a medium of communication.
“Our spirituality is a oneness and an interconnectedness with all that lives and breathes, even with all that does not live or breathe.” — Mudrooroo

Culture encompasses a range of phenomena transmitted through social learning: art, music, dance, ritual, religion, cuisine, shelter and clothing. It simply means the way we do things. Culture builds character.
Culture provides both social and economic benefits. Through open, honest conversation we improve learning and the health of a society and a nation, and with opportunities to come together we improve our quality of life and well-being.
Each one of us is different, with a cultural background and bias. By celebrating culture, we are celebrating our own individuality.
Culture needs to be explored, discussed and enjoyed through conversations that may take the form of music, dance, drama, literature, performing and creative arts.
Conversation is the means of human interaction through which customs, roles, rules, rituals, laws and other patterns are created and shared. Cultures are the “residue” of social conversation, and conversation and culture reciprocally influence each other.
Different cultures have different hierarchies, understood through conversations that the cultural arts make easier. Bringing culture to a wider audience supports who we are: an innovative, vibrant, inclusive democracy where individual creative talent is supported through and by private enterprise.
Discover art you love, meet the artists behind it and explore the stories that connect cultures.
